Description
Made in 1855, this impressive timepiece remains in very good condition.
The clean signed white enamel dial features black Roman hours and a minute railway track indication.
Heavy engine turned case made in 18K yellow gold (impressive net weight of 60.5 grams), all lids closing tightly. Matching numbers on the case, dial and movement. Multiple English hallmarks dating this watch back to 1855, London.
The movement is fascinating in both aesthetics and mechanical aspects. Beautifully finished and fully signed three quarter plate gilt movement, with every pivot adorned with a blue-screwed adjusted ruby, engraved balance bridge with diamond endstone. It is needless to say that the movement, just like the dial and case, are made out of the highest standards. The movement is clean and running smoothly, with the repeater fully functional.
