Services

On this page you will find forms for three different services Tempus Fugit offers: to help answer questions, give appraisals and inquire about a particular pocket watch. All of these services are free of charge and we would be more than happy to assist with whatever questions or requests you might have. We strive to answer all inquiries within 24 hours.

Learn

Would you like to learn more about your pocket watch? For example, are you trying to figure out what the hallmarks of your antique pocket watch mean or would you like to know in which year your watch was produced? Not sure how your pocket watch operates, or how to take care of your antique timepiece? Maybe you have inherited a pocket watch and simply looking to learn more about it. We’d be happy to help you find the answers to your questions.

As we have outstanding (pocket) watch related literature and close relationships with dealers and collectors who specialize in different eras of horology, we have access to a lot of useful information. We will do our best to get the answers to your questions, but we may not always be able to find the correct answer or information requested. We will never jump to conclusions about something we are not completely sure of.

Appraisal

Are you curious to know what your pocket watch is worth? The value of a pocket watch depends on different factors, such as the maker, condition and rarity. Although it is not ideal to accurately value a watch based on pictures, we can often provide you with a cautious estimate.

The more specific the information you provide and the clearer your photos, the more accurate our estimate will be. If the pictures are unclear and the information is limited, please excuse us for not providing an estimate, we would rather give no valuation than a bad one. Looking to sell your pocket watch? Selling your pocket watch at Tempus Fugit is simple and secure, learn more about it here.

Request

Can’t find what you are looking for in our current collection of pocket watches? Try it this way. Throughout the years we have managed to build strong relationships within a wide network of dealers and collectors. Although our friendships with fellow watch traders are very dear to us, we prefer to acquire watches from private individuals since there are still numerous breathtaking pocket watches hidden in drawers collecting dust.

Have you been searching for a highly complicated Patek Philippe, a platinum Cartier ‘knife edge’ or a Thomas Tompion verge fusee? Maybe a particular A. Lange & Söhne pocket watch box or a heavy gold antique Albert watch chain? Rare escapements, scarce watchmakers and sought-after accessories. We guarantee to do our best to find what you seek. Whenever we think we have found the perfect piece for you, you are guaranteed to see it first. If it is the right one for you, great! If not, no worries, we simply continue by offering that particular piece here on our website and keep looking for you.
