Exceptional One-Minute Tourbillon from Switzerland in heavy 18K yellow gold savonet case.
An antique one-minute tourbillon chronometer pocket watch like this is rarely offered online, let alone in this condition.This pocket watch, manufactured around approx 1870, remains in full original and unrestored condition.
The movement received a complete overhaul in June 2024 (see pictures provided by our watchmaker) and is running with a healthy tick. Upon request, we would be happy to share a video with you viewing the ticking movement.The watch is unsigned, thus the maker/seller is unknown. We do see resemblance with the Chronometer maker/retailer Henry Delolme who used the same Ebauche tourbillon movement from La Chaux-de-Fonds.The movement is housed within a plain heavy three golden lid savonet case. The case bears multiple 18K gold hallmarks (horse head looking to the right).
The case shows some minor signs of use in the form of scratches corresponding to its age. The back lid shows two tiny surface dents which are only visible in certain light fall.
The original pendant/bow is made out of steel with a solid gold layer. The layer of gold shows wear at the position where the gold chain was attached.
