Wonderful yellow gold half-hunter pocket watch with quarter repeater function.
This Swiss made example, produced by Rossel & Fils, is made out of the higher standards resulting in an absolutely stunning timepiece.
Fine white enamel dial with black Roman hours and Arabic minute indication. Original set of half-hunter hands in blued steel.
The heavy 18k yellow gold case is strong and heavy resulting in a case without dents. Sturdy hinges, front lid powerfully jumps open when winding crown is pushed down. The deep blue enamel hours on the front lid remain in great condition and is almost completely intact. The case back features a monogram with the letters HWL.
The anchor-escapement is set with many rubies and has ‘woolf-tooth’ winding gears indicating the high grading in finishing on this timepiece. Movement is running accurately with only ± 7 seconds off every 24 hours.
Both the hour and the quarter repeater strike clear distinct tones.
