Description

Classical 18th century slightly bulging dial featuring black Roman hour and Arabic minute indications and gold decorative hands. The dial is in superb condition.

The outer repousse case shows a fine mythological scene of a soldier with his horse, an older man and a woman making a hand gesture from a window. Apart from a small crack at the soldier’s waist, the case remains in tremendous shape; no dents or soldering of any kind to be found on this exceptionally crafted case.
Both the front and back of this case are decorated with deep detailled floral patterns. The mythical representation is showing many of its original details indicating this watch has been taken well care of in the past 250+ years.
Both cases are made in a sturdy fashion and therefor carry more weight compared to other examples from the same era. Just like the outer case, we find the inner case to remain in good condition since the usage of more gold results in fewer dents and cracks. The inner case bears London hallmarks.

The signed clean verge fusee movement is running well. Beautiful hand cut balance bridge decorated with floral patterns and square pillars.
